Meet, greet, and transfer to your hotel. Unpack, relax, and join us for a brief orientation with a Kola Nut Travel representative. Later you will have a welcome dinner at the hotel.

Good Morning, after breakfast you will explore the capital city of Ghana. Your city tour will include
visiting the National Museum of History and Ethnography with exhibits that reflect the heritage of Ghana
throughout history to the present. This Museum houses a collection of historic, archaeological, and art items. A drive
through Old Accra also called Jamestown and a visit to WEB DuBois Centre. The group will visit Black Star Gate, the
second-largest independence square in the world, and Memorial Park. This is where President Osaygefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah was celebrated.
You will stop for lunch. After lunch visit the National Centre for Arts and Crafts which has a
varied collection of Ghanaian hand-crafted items on sale. Here you will have the opportunity to try your bargaining skills to
shop in an open-air market.
In the Evening you will meet Tailors and dressmakers featuring casual wear and formal garments made from local fabric and textiles These designers will visit you at your hotel and share their many beautiful garments and fabrics. Options will include ready-made clothes or a custom-made outfit.

After Breakfast, you will depart for Ada to visit one of the biggest outdoor museums in Ghana. It is situated on several acres of land
in Ada. Its name is derived from the Akan Adinkra symbol, The Nkyinkim symbol, which means Twisted. The museum is an evolving art installation/monument of sculptured pieces, portraying the story of Enslaved African trade and the resilience of our ancestors.
You will stop for Lunch. Later you will return to Accra. Your evening is free for personal pursuits.

This Morning after breakfast you check out your hotel in Accra. The trip to Kumasi has a number of interesting stops.
Along the way, you will visit Ejisu Besease Shrine which Yaa Asantewaa, the courageous female war general consulted before leading
the Ashanti army to war. In 1900, during the war with the British when the menfolk quaked with fear, Yaa Asantewaa led her army into battle. The building, an authentic Ashanti traditional architecture, houses the shrine is now a UNESCO-designated world heritage
site.
You will stop for Lunch, then continue on a city tour of Kumasi visiting the Manhyia Palace Museum which provides a good insight into Ashanti
culture and traditions, and the history of the Ashanti Kingdom which is over 300 years old. It provides a good glimpse into the powerful ancient Ashanti Empire and its past Kings.

Good Morning, today you get an opportunity to explore a few Ashanti crafts villages including, Adanwomase well known for its traditional
Kente cloth weaving. Observe weavers exhibit their skills in producing the clothes adorned some of which are a
preserve for the Ashanti Kings. Participate in a traditional Ghanaian naming ceremony. Participants will be given Ghanaian names with attributes.
It would be interesting to compare your given attributes and Ntonso - noted for its indigenous artisans whose expertise lies in Adinkra textile printing using traditional symbols that express the spiritual, moral, political, and socio-cultural philosophies of the Akan people. In the Ntonso Adinkra village you will be able to try your hand at creating your own designs.
Lunch is on your own.
After lunch, next is the National Cultural Centre and Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, and drive past Kumasi Central Market, the largest open-air
market in West Africa. Return to your hotel.

This morning after breakfast prepare to leave for Cape Coast in the Central Region. Drive through the forest and several farming villages. Stop en
route to visit Assin Manso, the burial site of the remains of the two ancestors exhumed from New York’s Wall Street and
Jamaica, Kingston, and re-interred on the Emancipation Day 1998. Visit the “Slave River” where enslaved Africans were allowed to have their bath in preparation for auction at the nearby slave market.
After lunch visit Elmina Castle, the sacred ground where enslaved people spent their last days prior to crossing the Atlantic. Elmina is the first and oldest European structure built in 1482 by the Portuguese. It was later used as an auction market.

Today you go on a morning walk on the “Kuntan Trail”, in Kakum National Park. The view is absolutely beautiful with its countless trees with medicinal
properties. For the young at heart experience the “Canopy Walkway” suspended 100 feet from the forest
ground for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining vestiges of the rainforest.
After Lunch, we will visit the Cape Coast Castle which was originally started by the Swedes in 1652. It served as the headquarters and
seat of the British colonial government until 1877. After your tour your next stop is the West African Heritage Museum. Later you will return to your hotel. Your evening is free.

Breakfast is served at your hotel this morning. You have time for a morning rest at the beach or youse the hotel's sporting facilities for golf playing and horseback riding at your leisure.
Explore the local restaurants for lunch.
You might consider a walking tour of Elmina township exploring Ghana’s topmost historical community. See
ancient historical buildings and even some stone-aged houses, and 17th Century Dutch Cemetery, the Posuban Shrine.
Later in the day engage in an African drumming and dance workshop.

This morning after breakfast you will check out of your hotel and proceed to Accra driving along several
fishing communities and coconut-lined beaches. Upon arrival in Accra, check in and spend the rest of the day hanging out in Accra, eating at a local restaurant, and taking care of that last-minute shopping.
This evening you will have a Farewell Dinner. Later check out some of the nightlife in Accra.

This is the last day to tie up loose ends. Pack early, do you have a dilemma about shipping that Ashante Stool or wood objects home? Your guide always has a solution for that. If you haven't had time to go to the mall, now is the time to do it. Later you will transfer to the airport for your flight home. Safe Journey
